But I’m not sure what.
Magic invisible struts yo.
Yep, got the front struts out today. Now I’m just waiting for my springs to get here either tomorrow or the next day. I’m getting excited and impatient.
In the mean time, the GMC got its first oil change since 2008... I had to scrap the old valvoline sticker off the windshield with a razor blade since it was basically baked on. It just got the cheapest conventional 5W-30 CarQuest had but it’s better than nothing. Happy little 4.3 right now.
I was only slightly hogging lifts today :)

how are your rubber spring seats/strut top mounts?

Basically brand new. They were replaced when the struts were last year because they looked turrible.

How about your front control arms? (ball joint/rear bushing on it)?

BMWs (and German cars in general) use lug bolts instead.

Oh ok. I didn’t realize you were only changing the springs and not the strut.
